Hammer's recommendation

Hi, it's Hammer the Spammer again, speaking from a 7-storey tall highland.

Today's topic is about the social network portals in this world wide web, the place we call the internet. Yes, Friendster has come and, sadly, abandoned. Now, everyone is into Facebook. Not to mention, MySpace, Multiply and other various social networks. While those social networks are mostly based on friendships, family ties and relationships, this acobay network portal is something revolutionary. Yes, it is about connecting different people from all around the world. But how can you 'connect' and just click just so randomly with strangers? The secret is, you can do so by searching for people who own the same or similar items with you, or those who have travelled to the same place as you.

Interesting?

It is easy to register an account on Acobay. You do not even need an email to start with. After filling simple forms, you get to add items or places you have been to. You can join in discussions. Look Lynthia's item - she has added this Animal Crossing game I own. If another user happen to own this Animal Crossing game as well, we get to talk about the strategies and various tips to go about this game. Is this not a great idea to expand your horizon?

Speaking of Animal Crossing, Tom Nook must be real mad at Lynthia for not paying the loan on the home renovations.........

I Miss Tennis!

I miss playing tennis, I miss joining tennis competitions, I miss playing with Michelle & Amelia in doubles, and I miss playing around with my tennis friends!!!

The tennis court that I used to play at..

I have been under the sun with ErJie at the tennis court for the past 2 days, accompanying Lynna while she competed in this year's Tennis Inter-school Competition. Accompanying her this time really made me miss tennis so much! I started to compete since Primary 5 but only started to represent Miri when I was in Primary 6. I am not a good player but, I do love the game a lot.

Me under the hot sun!

Not forget to mention, I met up with most of my tennis friends. I miss playing around, talking with them. They are really fun to talk with. We even tried to fit into my Kelisa to go to Parkson for lunch. There were 7 of us squeezing.. Well, not really 7 because ErJie and I were sitting in front so, the rest of the tennis girls were behind. Haha..

From the left: Me, Paige, Amelia, Andrea and Shamini

Sanjeet and Helena singing and dancing.. Haha..

The girls and.. C. Heward behind.. Haha..

OK.. Arif a.k.a French Fries trying to be the centre of attention.. Haha!

Btw, my sister, Lynna, got a bronze for her doubles. She lost in her singles, but I'm still quite proud of her because she won 1 game from her opponent. Good experience for her because joining this competition is really the golden opportunity to learn more about tennis. Glad she did well. Hope that she'll do better than this time. ^_^

Lynna and Helena..

Them and their opponents.. (They seems like they are whispering something.. Hmph..)

I really do hope I have the chance to join the competition again. Although I know it's pretty impossible, I won't stop playing tennis. I will still continue to play for my own interest. Hehe..

Sleepover!

We, girls had a sleepover at Mandy's place last night. We went there to hang out with an YE from Taiwan, Anny.

She is a really cute and funny girl. We could actually communicate very well because we speak the same language. And.. I watch Taiwanese series, listen to Taiwanese singers' songs and follow-up with Taiwan's entertainment news. So, it wasn't very hard to find a topic to chat with her. Really felt relax chatting with her.

We spent the whole night watching the movie: Game Plan, watching
星光帮's bonus DVDs, 星光帮's finale, playing PS2, eating, watching TV, taking pictures and talking. It was really fun! We slept at around 5.00 am. Kind of late right? OK..OK.. It was very, very late. Haha.. But, we had lots of fun!

The 5 of us!

Btw, Mandy bought the camera that I really want. Haha.. She even got the O.d.m. watch. The camera is really good. Mandy was really kind enough to lend me her O.d.m. watch for a few hours. Haha..

Mandy's O.d.m. watch! Cute right?

P/s: Thanks Mandy for yesterday. It was really fun. ^_^

P/p/s: I will upload the pictures once I get them from Mandy. :)

We Are One Big Family

I went to one of the most interesting and fun gatherings just now which was the Miri Online Community Gathering at Halo Cafe with ErJie, Ning Jie, Ah Ning and Christine. Had lots of FUN! I had never been so excited and nervous since a long time ago. In fact, this is even better than some of those events and dinners I had gone to. I really enjoyed myself. :)

Us eating.. ^_^

We went there at around 6.00pm and met up with Christine. Had dinner and talked about lots of things before the activities started. Firstly, we had to introduce ourselves. I was quite nervous because it was so random. Fortunately, I was one of those who didn't go up. Phew! But, Ah Ning had to go up there when a guy chose her! But, she managed to finish her introduction. Haha...
Then, we had this Q & A game on Miri City. I managed to answer one question which was: What is the tallest building in Miri? I wanted to answer Yu Lan Plaza but... Ning Jie friend, Aaron, told us that it was Imperial Mall and Court so, I answered what he told me and I got it right! Bingo! I got RM50 from Advertlets and RM10 voucher from Halo Cafe. Really, really happy! So, a BIG THANK YOU to him for telling me the answer. Hehe... Plus, we also won the lucky draw. We got Victor Lee's album! Well, quite a lot of them don't know who is that except me. He was one of the Malaysian Idol finalist. He was one of the contenders whom I supported before he was out from the competition.

It's me receiving my voucher :) (I have no idea why I did that peace sign..)

Talking about luck, Christine was the luckiest girl there! She won RM300 from Advertlets! Such a blessed girl! I guess that would be a great birthday present for her. :) Plus, we had great fun cheering for her as she compete for the first place.

Christine trying to beat the guy who is more than twice her age!

After the whole thing, we went to approach Josh Lim to take a picture with him. Didn't want to miss this great opportunity. ^_^ A really BIG THANK YOU to Uchu Keling for organising this great gathering and Advertlets and Halo Cafe for sponsoring. Really hope for more of this in the near future...

With the other bloggers...

A picture with Josh Lim :)

P/s: Well, ErJie was the one who asked me to go. So, a really BIG THANK YOU to her for introducing this wonderful event to me. ^_^
