Lord of the Ring?

I still can't get used to writing here. I feel so foreign, with all the different tool bar and fonts that I am seeing now compared to my domain's. I guess I really miss writing at my domain very much. =S

Btw, I finished the whole Lord of the Ring trilogy films. Note that I meant the films, not the books. I actually watched the third one before but, not the first two films. I tried reading one of the books but failed miserably because it was so difficult to read! Lol. I thought I would fall asleep while watching them but, no I didn't. Surprisingly, I survived the total of more than nine hours of all the three films combined and I really like them. Though I did not focus so much while watching, because I was actually online and playing FB and doing other things.

I think the films were so awesome that I actually dreamt of it for a few times! OK, the dreams weren't so happy-ever-after but, I realised that I was so affected by it. I woke up everytime feeling so blur and there was even once when my mum was trying to wake me up, it's just wasn't registered in my mind that I was sleeping! I didn't even realised that I was sleeping. =S I guess that's what you call getting drunk in sleep. Haha!

How I wish I have the determination to read the books. Maybe I shall give it a try. Who knows since I'm older now, I might be able to understand? Hmm... Anyone who has LOTR books? =)

New design on an Old blog

I am feeling real down now. Seems like my domain is dying and I have no idea what is going on. I just have to hope and pray that I can get it back because I don’t have an extra copy of the posts that I had written there. It’s the thought of losing the things that I had written there that pulls me down right now.

Even a good laksa cannot make me happy=(

I don’t know what to do. I really feel very down and annoyed because www.LynthiaWong.com is like a stepping stone for me. It’s the step for me to leave the pasts behind me here and start a whole new beginning there. If any of you have read what I wrote in this blog and also in my domain, you might be able to tell the difference. I was just starting to get used this whole new writing style and suddenly, I have to come back here.

Sorry, but I am really emo at the moment. Please do pray for me. Anyone who has any ideas on what’s going on and how to solve it, please let me know.

Meanwhile, I had re-design this blog. I just need to get away from my old blog’s look so, I don’t feel that bad. Hope you like that very cute pair of my Crocs. It’s symbolic too, OK?

Account suspended!

Yes, I am back here for the moment. Seems like there's something wrong with my domain's server so, the account is currently suspended. I really hope that I can get it back ASAP.

Meanwhile, I feel really empty. I don't have much things to do since my account was suspended. At first, I was relieved because I could take a break and not squeeze my mind for ideas. But, it's taking a long time to recover so, I am getting a little bit worried. Therefore, I am back here for the moment to write while waiting for my domain to be fixed.

I have no idea how many of you are still visiting here since I had stopped writing here. But, I hope this is just temporary. =) Please pray for me!

Today marks the 5th year of my blogging. Time flies! It seems like it’s just yesterday that I just started blogging. =)

So, as I had promised, my new domain is ready and up now!

It’s still very new and empty but, I’ll put more stuffs into it very soon! Btw, that picture is the header of my domain. Just photoshopped it yesterday. Very amateur! But, it’s a temporary one since I haven’t decide on how I want the header to be.

Taking a Break

Sorry people! I'm kind of taking a break from blogging while saving some interesting things to blog about for my new domain. So, you won't be seeing a lot of new posts here now. =( And so sorry too because I don't want to reveal my new address because there are some more things to settle. Don't worry, it'll definitely be ready on 29th Jan!

25th January is coming in less than a day time. And in case you're wondering what's up with this date, that's the date my results will be released. And duh! I'm nervous but, I'm remaining calm and committing my results into God's hands. Please, please pray for me! I want this to be good and I know it'll be because I have faith in Him. May God bless my results and that my results will be awesome to glorify His name. Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

So, besides the 25th Jan issue, I've been working out lately on the treadmill and bicycle. It's tiring but, I feel really good and I know every minute of the pain, I'm slowly turning to the life of a healthy person. So, yes, it's worth the sweat and pain. Also, I just started taking guitar lessons. Today is just my first day and I like it! I'm taking the lessons with Lynna. Reason why I'm taking guitar lessons again is because I need to brush up my skills. I need to learn the right way in order to play better next time. And not forgetting, I need to improve so I can play for church one day.

I guess I better take a rest now. Don't know why I'm feeling quite tired. Had been out every night last week and it's not a very good choice. Got to go rest before I start my workout today!

P/s: Please continue to pray for my results. I will call the college in the morning to ask for my results. My first time so, please pray for me! =)

Update: I called to ask for my results this morning. Actually, I called for so many times but, it was too early. So, I called after my friend texted me. Thank you for all your prayers, I got 3 As and 1 B. Yes, you got it right. B for Physics. I'm very depressed but, no matter what, all glory to God. Praise the Lord for the rest of the As. There are so many things that happened to cause this B. Well, at least we all know who are those who played the important role in getting this B. =( Please, continue to remember me for your prayers. I really pray that I don't need to be returning to college so soon. So many things to do and I really need more of the time I have with family and friends. I don't want to waste it for other unnecessary things yet. Lastly, congrats to those for their awesome results! Praise the Lord and may God's name be glorified through our results!

Random Rambles

There’s always a particular point when I will have nothing to blog at all. And at that time, I will always abandon my blog and wander aimlessly in time. Having nothing to blog about is very disheartening to me because I really take this as if it’s a part of me. To have the opportunity to blog to me is an opportunity to express myself.

As I read other blogs, I envy them for having so many things to blog about. No matter it’s about relationships, traveling to awesome places, advertorials or even random bla-blas, I always have this little dream in me to blog like them. To have so many things to say about something is what I’m secretly wishing for.

However, I always find myself setting a limit when I blog. It’s either I should prevent myself from saying something overboard or criticizing something that I’m unhappy with. And sometimes, I couldn’t even blog about something I’m very emo about especially my feelings to people. I think I’m too afraid of saying something that might cause people to hate me and attack my feelings. I’m such a coward!

And because of this, I want this to be one of my 2010 resolutions. That is to be more brave to blog about anything that I feel like talking about. To be able to blog more random bla-blas and stop limiting myself too much when I blog.

It’s time for me move on to be a better blogger. And hope you’ll find a better me in my new domain by end of this month.

Progress

So sorry for not updating often lately. I have been quite busy. I am currently working on my domain to get it done before 29th January.

The design is not done yet. In fact, I haven’t get started with it! =(

However, I’m trying to complete a few more pages. And I’m now thinking whether to import all my posts here to the new domain or not. Please give me some suggestions. What would you all like? A fresh new domain or a domain which has all my old posts since the first day I started blogging?

I’ll let you all decide since you are the readers. So, decide well! =)

I'm On My Way

Guess what?! I'm on my way to setting my new domain! I'm really excited about it but, please wait for about 2 weeks more. I need time to import all my posts since 2005 and I still have a web design to settle.

Hope it's going to be done by 29 Jan 2010.

Btw, I just got back from church today. The sermon today was awesome. Pastor preached about spiritual gifts. Something that I have been thinking and praying a lot about. And I am still discovering that very special gift God has given to me.

Poor Vision

Don’t get me wrong. It’s not the vision of my life or what-so-ever. What I mean by poor vision is my eye-sight.

It’s getting worse. =(

I went to make a new pair of glasses 2 nights ago and I was told that my astigmatism has increased! However, my degree for both eyes are still the same. At least I could comfort myself with this.

I chose a pair of simple black framed glasses =)

My previous astigmatism for right eye was 1.75 and now, it increased to 2.00! As for the left eye, it was 1.50 and now, it’s 1.75.

I wanted something like this! But, to be practical, I had to ditch this. =(

Apoo… I think I need to reduce my time of watching TV while going online on my laptop and also the DS Lite habit every night. Otherwise, my eye-sight will get even worse!

Meanwhile, I think I better start eating more carrots. Help~

Once My 2nd Home

I had spent half a decade of my life there.

The place where I once called my 2nd home because that’s where I spent most of my time. This place, which has a very special place in my heart, I call it St. Co.

Everyone will grow up one day. And for some people, school is just something less important and after graduating, they will soon forget about it. But, I’m different.

Why do I love my school so much?!

Not only did I got to know so many awesome friends whom I am so thankful for today, St. Co was the place I grew up learning so many things that I wouldn’t have if I was at another school.

All the things that I had gone through, whether it’s about Leo Club or Prefectorial Board, had taught me to be the person whom I am today.

Honestly, studying in St. Co for 5 years is one of my happiest moments in life. I’m just so thankful that I got to be part of this school.

Sometimes, I feel so funny and silly when thinking about my 5 years there. But, that’s also why people call it ‘the good old times’.

Yesterday, I just got a call from Lynna while running on the treadmill. She asked me to share something for the Form 1 orientation. I didn’t think much but, I just agreed.

And now, I’m panicking. I don’t know what to say. There are so many things to share but, I need to find the right thing to talk about. Must pray about it.

I know this is quite a random post but, I just suddenly got this reminiscing mood at the moment. =)

I b.liv

It was a few months back when I was still in college. I came across a blog and that’s where the b.liv Tagline Search Contest caught my attention. Feeling confident (just a little bit la!), I decided to join.

I submitted 4 taglines because I was kind of kiasu and couldn’t make up my mind which to send in. Lol!

And on 25 Nov 2009, I received an email informing me that I won 2 categories! Yay! =) So, I got my junior to help me collect and post back the prizes back to me. After a month of waiting, I finally got it and guess who was trying to snatch the prizes away from me?!

Shoobie! So naughty. I didn’t even get to take a picture with my prizes. Haha! Don’t you think Shoo is soooo cute? Look at how happy he is in the picture. >_<

Those 2 hampers cost RM700 of b.liv products. I heard the products are really good so, I can’t wait to use it!

Best Friend TV

I’m not sure whether I have mentioned this here before. TV is my best friend.

Hahahahahaha!!!

Yeah. Seriously. Since young, I love watching TV. I watch all kinds of shows; drama series, reality shows, talk shows and etc.

I think that’s where I developed my interest in acting. Because I tend to imitate and learn how the actors portray their characters. Soon, I learnt how to cry easily. Interesting eh? Too bad no where for me to apply my skills. =(

Btw, that’s not the whole point of this post.

So, here’s how I spend my everyday routine with my best friend:

My routine usually starts in the afternoon.

3.30pm – 4.30pm AEC ‘You’re My Destiny’ (Taiwanese drama)

4.30pm – 5.30pm AEC ‘Stepping Out’ (Singaporean drama)

7.00pm – 8.00pm AEC ‘Table of Glory’ (Singaporean drama)

8.00pm – 8.30pm Random channels like AFC, HMK, AXN

8.30pm – 10.30pm 8TV ‘Boys Over Flowers’ (Korean drama), AEC ‘E-News’ (Taiwanese) and WLT ‘Gem of Life’ (HK drama)

10.30pm – 11.00pm Random channels too

Usually, from 8.30pm to 10.30pm, I will be switching channels in between commercial breaks just so I can watch all together. And most of the time in the morning, I’ll either watch random channels or just go online. That’s why I don’t go online that often at night. Hehe…

I might sound like a TV freak or a TV desperado but, let me tell you this. I will not die without TV. I survived a long time without it when I was in college.

But, this addiction of mine will start whenever I’m free and have a TV around. For now, I want to watch as much as I can because I don’t think I will have the time and TV when I start studying again. That’s going to be for a long time. =(

Alright! I think I better get back to the treadmill while watching TV. =)

I ♥ Langkawi cont.

After island hopping, we met the Singaporean couple again at the Jetty Point after lunch.

We went to the tour agent office and decided to go to the cable car together. So, there we went!

It was quite a long journey there. Took about 20-30 minutes to reach the place. It’s located at the Oriental Village. We walked around the place a while before finding the cable car station.

When we got there, there were soooo many people queuing! But, determined to go for it, we joined the queue and waited for about 1 hour.

It was worth the waiting. And just like what I had mentioned on my previous post, the cable car ride was very scary!

It’s more than 700m above sea level and worst of all, it has the steepest gradient of 42°. It terrified me that I was holding on to the handle and praying all the time! Didn’t know I have fear of heights.

But, once we were up there, the view was spectacular and the temperature was lower. Love the place there. It was breathtaking!

After snapping enough pictures there, we went to queue up again to go back to the ground. The ride then, was more relaxing and less terrifying. =) Phew!

Later, we went to the mini zoo beside the station. Not many animals there. Just rabbits and deer which we could actually touch and feed. So cute!

Then, we went to the Eagle’s Bay to take pictures! It’s very near to the Jetty Point, where we were earlier. The van driver told us that the eagle statue costed RM2 millions! No wonder so huge. =)

What a day in Langkawi! It was super fun and enjoyable. I totally didn’t expect it to be so fun. Glad we met the couple in hotel. We even ended up going around the town together for the whole day! What a blessing. =)

Verdict? Langkawi is a must go! Either with family (recommended) or friends, just go and you wouldn’t regret this.

Happy New 2010 Year!

Time flies. So fast that it feels as if it’s just yesterday that I was still in secondary school.

I kinda miss school!

Looking back on 2009, this very chapter of my life had been a great blessing from God.

CF rocks, God rocks!

Although there were times of trials and difficulties, they were all lessons that God wants me to learn. I never regret going through all these.

Trials and difficulties include gaining weight. But, I will not give up. Please pray for me =) 

And now, here comes 2010!

The year when I will turn a year older (duh!). Not that I care so much but, I will be turning 2 decades old!

20! 20! 20! 20!

The year when I will (might) be flying to a country which I have never stepped a foot in to study.

India, here I come.

The year when things will definitely change. And I hope the changes are good!

I cannot guarantee whether I, myself would change but, I can promise that I will improve and be a better person for God and everyone whom I love.

So, I guess it’s goodbye 2009 and hello to 2010. =)

I ♥ Langkawi

After meeting the Merlion, we continued our vacation to Langkawi!

Bye bye, Singapore!

Trust me, it’s not a good idea to do that. Firstly, the flights there really drained our energy. By the time we arrived, we were so exhausted!

Secondly, it’s a huge change. Travelling from such a developed country to a very small town really made a big difference. Couldn’t adapt to it for the first few hours but, soon, we realised Langkawi could offer us something that Singapore couldn’t.

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as EAGLES they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" Isaiah 40:31

We were in Langkawi for just 2 days & 2 nights coz’ we only arrived there at night. So, there weren’t enough time to do a lot of things!

We were thinking of renting a car. So, on the next day, Daddy called to ask about it. While waiting at the lobby, we met a couple there. They were very nice to us that they recommended the island hopping tour they were joining.Since the deal was quite good, we decided to ditch the car rental idea and went island hopping!

It was quite an impulsive decision but, we totally loved it! The sea was great and I loved the whole tour.

We went to 2 islands and a fish farm. First island was just a place to swim but, all of us didn’t want to waste our time there since nobody planned to get wet, so we skipped it.

Then, we went to watch eagles feeding. The eagles were small but, it was very interesting to watch. They fed them chicken skins because chicken skins could float on the water.

Later, we went to the fish farm. It’s like a small hut in the middle of the sea. They got a very big, yellow shark there. Others were big fishes but, I think they were baby sharks.

A while after, we proceeded to the famous island, Dayang Bunting Island. There, located the biggest lake in Langkawi, the Lake of the Pregnant Lady. It’s a fresh water lake so, it was quite amazing to have a fresh water lake on an island in the sea.

We went for a boat paddle. We got the automated boat coz’ we were too tired to paddle. Lol!

While we were busy paddling, Mummy, who were sitting at the hut, saw a Singaporean actor! So lucky. And she claimed that she got to talk to him. Too bad she didn’t get to take a picture with him. No camera with her that time! =(

After about 1 hour there, we left. It was a quite trip back to the jetty because everyone was tired but, we enjoyed it very much! Amazing experience to see God’s awesome creations.

No doubt, I ♥ Langkawi!

Taking a Break =)

Let’s take a break from all the posts about my vacation alright? Here we go!

I was telling everyone in the car while on our way back to Miri from Sarikei, how much I miss singing karaoke. I’m not a frequent karaoke singer but, the fact that Green Box and Red Box are super good makes me want to sing again.

I know I looked awfully pale here because, I didn’t sleep well the night before… =(

Right after my last paper, I brought Sherp, together with my friends, to Seremban. We went to the Green Box in Jusco and sang 4 hours non-stop.

Next day, Sherp, NingJie and I went to Red Box for 4 hours again!

Singing non-stop.

I’m a no singer but, seriously, I enjoy singing very much! It’s just that I can’t sing on the right key. Still learning.

Unlike Sherp and my friends, they are awesome singers!

Plus, I can’t sing Chinese songs because I can’t read Chinese words. But, I like Chinese songs. So, the solution for me is to just simply mumble the words with the right tune.

Despite all these hurdles, I find singing helps me to relax more.

How I wish there’s a Green Box here in Miri! It’s so much cheaper and the facilities are superb. Good thing about it is that there are no 不三不四 people lingering around the place. All clean and safe.

I think I should just learn how to sing well so I can sing better next time when I go karaoke with friends. By that time, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t be needing the cotton buds anymore. Lol!

I’m gonna sing better the next time you see me! Muahahahaa…
