Lifetime Opportunity

I had been very lucky lately. Actually, I won’t say lucky but, blessed. I seldom win contests especially the online contests where the most creative answers will win. Sometimes, I wouldn’t even bother to join because I know I won’t win at all.

But, there was once when I was reading some blogs and I came across Timothy Tiah’s blog. The post was about David Tao coming to Malaysia for the T Music Festival and he has some tickets to giveaway. He would give those tickets to 10 people who has the best idea of what they will do when they meet their favourite artists. So, I decided to give it a try.

My answer is very, very long so, I’ll just summarise it here. I listed some of the things that I would do if I meet the artists like asking David Tao to teach me guitar, ask the artists to post on my blog and sing a birthday song for me since my birthday was around that time. And for the first time, I won! I was so hyper-excited about it. But, I had to give up the tickets. Well, not really coz’ I sold it to my friends at a very cheap price. I just had to earn some pocket money for my holidays. I kind of regretted for not going because the seats were good and it’s a very big concert!

Me, after collecting the tickets from NuffNang office =)

But, God is so good to me that He planned another awesome thing for me! Something even better than the concert. Something that I really wanted to go to. It’s the ATP Malaysian Open!!! This time, I got the tickets free courtesy of HCFoo.com. Big THANK YOU to HCFoo!

It’s just so amazing because I was the last person to make the cut so, this means that the next person, who is Ah Wei, didn’t get the chance to go watch live. I know this may not appeal much to most people but, this was something that I wanted to go to for a long time. I even wanted to buy the tickets long ago but, Mummy didn’t allow me. But, somehow, I managed to get the tickets for free!

Me (wearing the ATP Msian Open Wilson cap) with Verdasco behind! I’m so happy~ Btw, I didn’t realise I wore the same tee in both pics! Opps.. Hehe!

Truly, it’s a lifetime opportunity because I won’t be in the country for next year’s Malaysian Open. Although I had to give up the chance to watch T Music Festival, I think going to ATP Malaysian Open was much worth it to me because I really like tennis. Who knows, if I had went to the concert, Mummy wouldn’t even allow me to go for this right?

Coming up soon, I will post about the ATP Malaysian Open! Btw, I just came back few hours ago and I had loads of fun. So, stay tune!

Hey!

OK. I feel quite weird blogging here from one of classrooms in KTT now. I'm supposed to have my group discussion about our Malaysian Studies presentation but ended up I'm the only one here now. Haiks...

There's lots of things to blog about here! But, I'm always busy with my studies here so, I've got to wait for my mid-sem break which will start next week! However, I still got to study for my mid-sem exam. Please pray for me.

Btw, I went to Passion Conference last week and it was really good! This is the first time I really enjoy this kind of event. The sermon was absolutely wonderful and the praise & worship was superb! And most importantly, I really felt I have gone another step closer to God. Praise the Lord.

I'll blog more about these again next week. So, stay tune!

P/s: I think I better go look for my group members soon!
P/p/s: Please pray for my wisdom, concentration and faith to face my mid-sem exams next week.

10 Years of Effort...

Have you ever heard of someone who had waited for 10 years just to release a RM20 album? I had...

Ning Jie and I went to watch this mini concert by a singer, Tong Xin, at Bintang Plaza. You all might not know her because she is just a local singer (I think...) in Malaysia. But, what many didn't know is that she was one of those who acted in the NTV7 drama series: Where The Heart Is.

Where The Heart Is...

After realising who she is from the advertisement banner, I was kind of curious and wanted to go and have a look at her. And not forgetting, to hear her voice too. So, we just went there without thinking much.

Tong Xin and the host of the day :)

Well, the place was obviously not crowded! There were some people there but, wasn't very crowded compared to some of the previous mini concerts. The overall view was OK. Tong Xin did a good job and her voice is indeed nice and sweet. Although the situation was kind of harsh towards her because there were not many people there to support her, she was still able to put a sweet smile on her face.

Her clothes are a bit weird but, her voice is sweet...

It was at that time too that the host mentioned that Tong Xin waited for 10 years just to release her first Mandarin album. Honestly, Ning Jie and I were touched and impressed by her effort so, we bought her album to give it a try.

Autographs session!

There is no way I'm not taking a picture with her as a souvenir! Haha...

So, for those who have not heard of her yet, do feel free to listen to her songs. I guess you all wouldn't mind showing some support towards her right? Haha...

The poster and CD...

P/s: The pronounciation of her Chinese name is Tong Xin but, I am not very sure how to write the pinyin so, apologies for that! :)

Anthony Chang's Meet-The-Fans Session

I have been actively catching up with lots of concerts and meet-the-fans sessions recently. It all started since I was in Primary 6 when I first went to SHE's concert. Then, followed up by 'The Legendary Siblings 2' meet-the-fans session, Astro concert, LYZ and ZDL mini concerts. So, I'm kind of addicted to these kind of functions.
One of the concerts that I had been to..

I read the newspapers a few days ago and spotted a news about Anthony Chang, ATQ 2006 winner. They said he is promoting his new EP: Music Wonderland in East M'sia. So, I quickly searched the Chinese newspapers to check on his news. But, as you all know, I don't read Chinese! My sister didn't want to help me out. So, I texted Emandy and Ning Jie to get some info. Thank God that Ning Jie's friend had some info about it. Then, Mummy also got me some info after she drove past Bintang Plaza.

The stage.. It was still early when I arrived.

So, I went to Bintang Plaza with Lynna just now at 6.10pm. It was suppose to start at 7.00pm so, we wanted to get there earlier. Obviously, the place was not crowded. So, we walked around the place. I also bought his EP there because I couldn't find it in the CD stores before.

The EP that I bought! ^_^

The EPs they were selling.. (Apologies for bad picture quality)

The whole thing started at 8.00pm! Well, it was kind of worth waiting. I played some quiz game there and got his poster. Hehe.. The questions were very easy. The emcee asked how did Ant get into this career. I obviously knew the answer which was when he won ATQ 2006.

We waited till it was dark! Haha..

Ant presented some songs: Jue Jiang Ai Zhe Ni, Anthony, and one more fast-paced song (I know that song but, I don't know how to read the name which is in Chinese!). Haha.. I also went up to play a game with him. Well, actually it was not really a game. We had to sing his song! Just like what happened during LYZ's concert. Thank God I know his songs. I searched for the pinyin lyrics a few days ago so, I knew the lyrics. I sang the sweet Jue Jiang Ai Zhe Ni. I was quite nervous but, was conscious enough to invite him to sing with me. Haha.. Then, I got a radioactive goodies bag. Really happy but, I was even happier to meet him. Btw, I also tried to invite him over to eat 'kueh chap' but he didn't believe that I can actually cook! Hehe..

Ant singing one of his songs.

My radioactive goodies bag!

We went up to get his autograph after the whole thing. I requested him to write Lynna and my names. Really felt bad for taking up his time. I gave him a small card which I made that contains my favourite bible verse. I really hope he liked it.

It was so sweet of him to write the messages: Thank you for your support and God bless! (Btw, he is left-handed!)

A quick snap with Ant! ^_^

The whole thing was really fun! I did enjoy his songs. I love his voice. Indeed one of the best I had ever heard. Good vocal, good songs, and even good dance moves! I really hope all the best for him in his career.

This is the song I sang with him :)

Thank God for this wonderful evening. ^_^
