Hiatus!

Hey everyone! Apologies for no updates on my blog recently. I'll be taking a short hiatus from the world of blogging as I will be quite busy for this coming week. There will be a lot of things to do!!!

By the way, please do pray for me as I will be going for an interview this week. I was really nervous but, managed to feel better a bit after talking to my sisters about it. A really BIG THANK YOU to DaJie and ErJie for helping me through. I will do my best no matter what! I have faith in Him! ^^

Supporting Ex-School's Health Quiz Team!

The 3 of us: Marvin, Ming Chai and I went to support our ex-school's Health Quiz team today! It was kind of a last-minute plan but, since the 3 of us + Qi Ying represented the school in this competition for the last 2 consecutive years, we had decided to show some support to the new team. This year, Manveer, Louis, Felicia and Wong represented our school.

Wong, Felicia, Louis and Manveer!

I had actually warned them to do well in the theory test on the day before because during my years, our team was always the one to get the highest score in the theory test. Haha.. But, I was only joking! Was just hoping that they would do well. We met them up after their theory test. They came out complaining about the test! But, I quietly knew that they did well. By the way, I met Charlene, a friend whom I met at last year's forum.

Ming Chai visiting the landscape at the venue!

The three of us went away to the town to do some things. We went to grab a bite before heading to Marvin's little brothers' school to fetch them. Marvin's brothers are so cute! Haha.. After that, we went back to see the four of them again to wait for their results. I could see that they were really nervous and I could even feel the nervousness in me too! Just like the old times.. Thank God they made it into the finals! So did CH and Lutong. So, we stayed back to watch their finals. Again, it was nerve-wrecking! I finally got to feel how the teachers and Marvin felt when sitting down there watching us last time. Neerrrrvvvoouuussss! Haha..

The stage..

Louis revising his notes!

After the 3 challenging rounds, our school managed to grab the 2nd place while CH maintained their 1st place. Lutong got 3rd. I am really proud of the four of them because they did a really good job. Although they couldn't defeat the defending champion team, I believe that they had done their best. So, Louis, don't feel disappointed! ^_^

The four of them and I!

Right after they had finished the quiz, the 3 of us went away as I had to go back by 4pm. A very big THANK YOU to Marvin for giving me a lift! Last but not least, thank God for everything! ^^

Trip To Sarikei!

Not long ago, I took 2 days off from my normal life to accompany my parents back to Sarikei for an early 'Ching Ming'. I haven't gone back to Sarikei for a very long time! Really miss the place, the food and also my relatives there. So, decided to accompany my parents to go back. ^^
As usual, one thing that you really need to sacrifice when going traveling long distance by car is the cleanliness of a toilet. Serious! You will need to use those cafe toilets or the ones at the petrol kiosk while on your way. But, it was kind of OK for me as I am used to these kind of situations. :)

The long queue at the ferry point to Sarikei town..

The journey took us about 6 hours to reach our destination. We went to Bintagor first and took the ferry to Sarikei. Then, we checked into one of the inns there and went to visit my relatives. We went to visit my aunts at Murutuk then, went to Jakar to visit my uncle and his family. Not forgetting, to visit my two dearest nieces, Zi Xin and Yan Zi! So, I spent the whole afternoon there playing with them. We had also had dinner there then, went back to the inn. I did accompany my mum to buy some stuffs while my dad went to have a haircut. ^_^ At night, we went to a surprisingly superb departmental store to shop and went to eat Sarikei's yummylicious 'kam muan'!!! Honestly, it is really hard to find a delicious, original 'kam muan' in Miri so, better grab the opportunity to eat it when in Sarikei. Haha..

The cheeky, little Zi Xin! She is a smart girl..

Adorable Yan Zi! I love her smile!

One of my favourite shops in Sarikei, EverWin Economy Trading Centre! ^^

Next morning, I went to eat 'kam muan' again! Yummy, yummy..(Sherp is going to kill me for this! Haha..) We went to the market to buy some stuffs before heading back to Miri.

The yummylicious 'kam muan' and the 50 cents Chinese Tea!

Really glad that I made the right decision to go back. Really enjoyed myself! Thank God for the safe, mercy journey. Hope can go back there again next time. ^_^

不想懂得

Angela Zhang is one of the best female singers in the Chinese entertainment which I think has an unique and strong voice. Her songs are truly sweet and nice. One of her songs which I like: 不想懂得 is a really a good one. Not only that, the MV of the song is also very well directed with nice graphics.

Visit to Halo!

I finally got to use my RM10 Halo voucher which I won during the Bloggers Gathering. The four of us: ErJie, Ning Jie, Christine and I went there to have some food and drinks. The place wasn't packed with people but was pretty empty. Maybe because it's a weekday so, there weren't a lot of people free. Btw, it was only my third time there. ^^ We had a good time eating, chatting and listening to the songs. We even tried to make fun of the singers by requesting them to sing Gary Chao Ge's songs because his songs are really difficult to sing. Haha..

I had "Purple Corner".. Didn't really know what it was but, chose it because of the word "Purple"(?).. ^^

Yummylicious chicken!

My "Purple Corner"!

The mini band..

The food was OK, not bad. The drinks were nice and refreshing. The place was not bad, but it is still not suitable for those who want to talk and chit-chat because of the loud music. Well, for me, I don't really mind as the environment there is just nice. Am looking forward to going there again next time! ^^

Experiment on Sherp's Experiment!

After reading Sherp's "Uncompressed Post", I find her experiments to be really cute and funny! I was kind of curious of what her friends might react if they are given a again so, I did a small experiment by giving it Pyroboy1911. Guess what was his reaction...

Fashion!!!

Fashion has been one of my interests since young. To be honest, I had even dreamt of studying fashion in New York and becoming a fashion designer! Well, of course, it is not as easy as it seems. You can even search for the nearest one to you! This is very essential as it can really help you to make the important decision whether to study in the fashion schools New York or not. So, what are you waiting for? Give it a simple visit to guarantee yourself a good fashion school.

News on SPM!

MIRI - StCo did a great job this year breaking the record by having 8 straight A1s. What an accomplishment! Not only that, StCo managed to beat Miri's top school, CH which only had 3 straight A1s.
However, there are some killer subjects which had killed most of the students' SPM results. They are the well-known EST and the newly-joined 'assassin', Moral Studies. Most of the students got either A2 or B3 for both of the subjects!
Well, the overall SPM results for this year did increase very well. Congrats to all who did well in their SPM and hope they will continue to do well in the other examinations.

Yesterday & Now...

Sounds familiar right? Hehe... I had a post with the same title 2 years ago about my PMR results. So, I was thinking of using the same title again for my SPM results.

Yesterday...
We had a Farewell/Pre-Result Party. Kok How was going to leave for KL to pursue his studies so, we wanted to have a small farewell party for him. At the same time, we wanted to pre-celebrate our SPM results before facing the real one. We went to Bak Kut Tea (near 2020) for dinner. I was kind of impacted by the early SPM news and also the J-Drama: 1 Litre of Tears so, I didn't really talk much. I guess some of them were too stressed because they talked so loudly and laughed a lot! Haha... After dinner, we went to Desserts. I had a great and wonderful time there talking and laughing. I'll surely miss my friends when they go overseas...

Us girls...

A picture with Kok How...

Us all!

At Desserts ^_^

Now...
I woke up this morning feeling practically nothing! I was neither nervous nor excited. I felt peaceful and calm instead! At that time, I could really feel God's presence in me. Glory to God! I wanted to go to school at 9am but Mummy didn't want to send me there. She thought that it was too early. But I managed to get to school at around 9.30am. The reason why I wanted to get to school early was because I wanted to be the first one to see my results. I don't want people running to me to announce my result to me. I prefer seeing it by my own eyes. Weird huh? Haha... I was kind of curious and nervous so, I went to peep at the staffroom door. Suddenly, my teacher grabbed me in there and asked me to do something. And guess what? She wanted me to look out for those who got good results! My goodness... My feelings at that time were really unexplainable! I saw my name at the 11As list. It was highlighted. I didn't really notice it until another teacher of mine told me that the highlighted ones got straight A1s! I double-checked, triple-checked to make sure my name was highlighted. I even asked my teacher so many times whether she was sure about it. Well, of course, she was kind of annoyed by the silly me. Haha... It was really true... I got straight A1s, 11A1s! I was really excited and happy. Thank God! I couldn't have done it without You, Lord! All praises to You! I didn't spend a long time in school. Had some photos taken before going back. What a day... Tiring but it was worth it. Really glad that my parents are happy...

Yeah!!! We got it!!!

Suppose To Be On 12th March Right?

SPM results are suppose to be out tomorrow, 12th March. But, this morning, I received lots of news about it. There are some who know something about the results. It's making me nervous. I wasn't thinking about it until my friends messaged and called me. Haha... Silly of me right? Well, I do really want to know about my results but, at the same time, I fear of disappointment. How can I stop myself from all these thoughts?

However, I need to be optimistic, strong and have faith in God. Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. That was what DaJie had shared with me before. It is true... I have to have faith in God, to believe in His words and miracles. And yes! I will...

I really hope that my results will be good. I don't want to disappoint my family especially my parents. I want them to be happy and proud of me. And that's why I am doing this for them. I shall not think too much of it first. I will try to enjoy the feelings of nervousness and suspense that I am having right now. May God bless my results!

P/s: Having a small Pre-Result Bash tonight as usual. ^_^

Ho's Birthday Party!

A few of us went to Parkson on 6th March to celebrate Ho's 18th birthday! Ho is one of my always and ever happy-go-lucky friends. He is one of my old friends from St. Co Primary School too. We are quite good friends but aren't very close. But, he is always the one to be there to cheer us up and help us whenever we need help. Really appreciate him as my good friend...

The Birthday Boy!

We had dinner at Pizza Hut. I haven't been there for a long time! Food was OK. But, we had lots of fun talking and laughing around. Made me miss those old times! Haha... Mandy was kind of high too that night. She kept smiling and laughing! (Catch her poses at the pictures below!) Interesting girl... Hehe...

Mandy and Kok How... (Notice Mandy? She looks soooo happy!)

Mandy and Vivian! (Mandy is still so happy... Interesting girl... ^_^)

Us on the mirror!

The rest eating...

After dinner, we went for an interesting movie, 10000 BC. Not bad... I enjoyed the movie very well and it was a good one. :) Although the props and set-ups are kind of weird, the plot is quite good. Btw, the animals are so cute! Hehe...

P/s: Mandy, you don't look ugly in those pictures!

Dreams Link

I recently got caught up by this romantic, Chinese drama called Dreams Link [又见一帘幽梦] . The reason I started watching it at first was because I was kind of bored and had nothing to do at night! Then, I started to fall in love with the plot and couldn't stop watching it! This drama is actually a remake of the popular Qiong Yao's story: 一帘幽梦.

Synopsis from DramaWiki:
Zi Ling is a dreamer who has always been overshadowed by her perfect older sister Lu Ping. For a long time, she's secretly been in love with Chu Lian, who also happens to be Lu Ping's boyfriend. Lu Ping is busy with her own dream of becoming a successful professional dancer and has little time for Chu Lian. Conflict arises when Chu Lian realizes that the one he truly loves is Zi Ling. An unfortunate accident forces a guilt-ridden Chu Lian to enter an unhappy marriage with Lu Ping, but he is unable to forget Zi Ling. Fei Yun Fan is a mysterious, wealthy, and much older man who loves Zi Ling with all his heart. Hoping to move on with her life, Zi Ling gradually reciprocates Fei Yun Fan's affection.

Sounds kind of complex right? It is... There are going to be conflicts in the middle of the story. However, you will definitely find yourselves touched by the happy moments both Zi Ling and Yun Fan had in Provence. Love that part the most! ^_^ The happy moments might be quite unrealistic but it won't stop you to enjoy the story to the fullest! Btw, the scenes shot for the drama are all scenic and nice especially those from France.

Not only did the story touched my heart, the theme songs were indeed sweet and nice. I could even remember the lyrics for one of the songs: 这种感觉就是爱. Surprising isn't it? Hehe... The song 梦女孩 is also one of my favourites!

这种感觉就是爱:

梦女孩:

Well, to be honest, this is not really the first China drama that I had watched but, it is my most favourite one! So, don't hesitate to watch it if you can. You can try to search for it at YouTube or at the local video shops. Please let me know what you guys think about the drama after you guys have watched it. ^_^

Psalm 37: 4

I was chatting with DaJie a few moments ago. I was telling her that my SPM results are going to be out soon and I have lots of mixed feelings within me. I told her that I really want to get straight A1s. Then, she quoted:

Psalm 37:4

Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

She told me that: If u believe God for A1 then just say u'll get it becoz God will give u what u want psalm 37: 4. I was really touched by what she said and I really, really prayed to God. I have faith in God! I want to and I will get it! 加油!!! 加油!!! 加油!!!

Thank you DaJie for your sharing. I will remember it in my heart...

Visiting NS Friends...

Apologies for not updating my blog recently. Telephone wires were stolen so, our internet connection were badly interrupted! Hmph... So, we had to bear with the internet-less condition for a few days.

Back to the main point, yesterday, my friends and I went to the NS Camp to visit our friends that were still in NS. It was kind of a last minute decision for me to go because I didn't want to go at the first time but, since Emandy's parents are going, my mum allowed me to tag along too. We brought some nice food for them too!

The NS Camp's canteen!

There were a bunch of us there waiting for our NS friends to come down from their respective dorms. We didn't do much things but were just chatting around, taking pictures. I haven't been chatting with them for so long! Miss them so much... Btw, I even took a video of an interview that I had with Kar Lun, Kok How and Siew Ang. They didn't even realise I really took the video until I replayed it! Haha...

Interviewing Kok How and Kar Lun... Sorry, I'm not going to upload the video to the blog!

Siew Ang and I!

Good old Pei Ling and I!

Us all! You can see the table is full of food and cameras... (Emandy's brother at left hand side!)

We were actually planning to stay there for a while only but, ended up staying there for about 2 hours! Why? Because we had to wait for Miss Joaquina to return to the NS Camp so that we could take a group picture. Haha...

Joa and I!

The complete group picture!

The place was actually OK. Not bad except for some parts. A big THANK YOU to Emandy's parents for letting me to tag along with them! Last but not least, I thank God for everything! ^_^
